Honey & Miso Glazed Trout

This is an ultra-easy trout recipe using only 4 ingredients for the glaze; honey, miso paste, pomegranate molasses and lime.   It is an absolutely stunning recipe and is cooked in minutes.

  • For the trout, mix the miso with the honey, pomegranate molasses and lime zest and juice. Spread this over both sides of the salmon, then place in the fridge to marinate for at least 1 hour – or overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/Gas mark 6 and place the trout on a shallow baking tray.
  • Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes. The timing will vary according to the size of the trout but you can check if it’s done with the tip of a knife: press the flakes of trout apart – it’s cooked when they’re firm and no longer translucent.
  • Serve immediately. I served the trout with stir fried vegetables & rice but it will go wonderfully well with seasonal vegetable or salad.
