Sausage Pasta
This spicy sausage and tomato pasta is packed full of flavour. It is a quick and easy to cook, ready in just 30 mins meal. Add more or less chilli flakes depending on how spicy you like it and scatter with Parmesan and basil for a fresh finish.

Ingredients

(remove the skins & break into bite sized pieces)

(peeled & finely chopped)

double cream

(freshly ground)

Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the sausage meat and fry, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Fry until golden and set aside.

Meanwhile, heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan over a medium heat. Fry the onion until softened. Add the garlic, chilli and rosemary, and cook for 1 min more. Now add the tomatoes and sugar, and simmer for 20 mins.

Add the sausage to the sauce, and stir through the cream. Simmer for a further 5 minutes. Season to taste.

Cook the pasta as per packet instructions. Drain and toss with the sauce. Sprinkle over the parmesan and basil leaves to serve.
