The perfect Halloween and Bonfire Night treat. The combination of crisp apples, with a smooth ®SKIPPY Peanut Butter sticky toffee and crunchy nuts or sprinkles is delicious and will suit any party or get-together.
SKIPPY® Peanut Butter is unlike any other – smoothly satisfying and just how peanut butter is supposed to taste!
- For the apples, twist off the stalks and push a wooden skewer or lolly pop stick into the stalk end, set aside on grease proof paper.
- Gently heat the sugar and water in a heavy-based pan until the sugar dissolves. Add the vinegar then In a small bowl mix together the syrup and ®SKIPPY Peanut Butter. Now add to the pan.
- Turn up the heat and place a sugar thermometer in the pan and boil to 150C. Or if you don’t have a thermometer you can test the toffee by pouring a little into a bowl of cold water - it should harden straight away. If it doesn't harden continue to boil.
- Quickly dip each apple into the toffee to coat, then place on non-stick baking parchment to cool. if you are decorating with sprinkles or peanuts quickly sprinkle them and allow to set. Enjoy!
