Spooky Ghost SPAM® Rolls

These spooky ghost SPAM® rolls are the easiest treats you can make for a Halloween party.  Ready in 35 minutes and can be eaten hot or cold, they’re also perfect for getting the kids involved.

  • 340 g SPAM® Chopped Pork and Ham
  • 1 1/2 sheets of pre-rolled puff pastry
  • 1 medium free range egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • To serve
  • edible eyes or black olives
  • sweet chilli sauce, ketchup or your favourite dipping condiment
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/Gas mark 6.
  2. Cut the SPAM® into 12 equal rectangles and set aside.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, open out the pastry sheets and cut into 3 long strips. Cut each strip in the 3 equal sized pieces. Place the SPAM® in the centre of each strip. Dampen the edges with a little water then roll up to seal.
  4. Working one roll at a time, pinch the pastry together 
at one end to seal and, 
using scissors, snip the pastry at the other end.
  5. Using a skewer, make 
2 holes at the top to form the eyes. Transfer to trays and brush with the egg and milk. Bake for 20-25 min or until golden. Add the edible eyes or small pieces of olives for the eyes. Serve hot or cold with your favourite dip. Enjoy!
