Teriyaki British Trout

This teriyaki trout recipe is a winner.  It has simple store cupboard ingredients and can be made in minutes.  Delicious. British trout is so tasty, highly sustainable low in fat, high in vitamins a, d & omega 3 #ShoutOutForBritishTrout

Ingredients
  • 2 British Trout fillets
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp mirin or dry sherry
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • To serve
  • sesame seeds
  • rice & stir fried vegetables
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/Gas mark 6 and place the trout on a shallow baking tray.
  2. Mix all the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the trout fillets. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Baste the trout half way through the cooking time.
  3. Sprinkle the cooked trout with sesame seeds and serve with rice and stir fried vegetables. Enjoy.
