- Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C Fan/gas mark 4 and line a 20 cm spring form tin.

- In a large bowl beat together the sugar and butter. Now beat in the eggs and vanilla extract. When fully combined gently fold through the flour and baking powder. Spoon the batter into the prepared tin and top with the plums and drizzle over any juices.
- For the crumble, melt the butter and then mix through the remaining ingredients. Scatter over the top of the plums and cake batter. Place in the oven for 1 hour, until golden and an inserted skewer comes out clean. Leave to cool in the tin - enjoy!
