These have to be the best fried onions for burgers and hot dogs – the perfect accompaniment for any BBQ. They are always a great hit with family and friends.
- Heat the oil in large frying over a low to medium heat. Add the onions and gently fry for 10 - 15 minutes or until softened and starting to turn golden.
- In a bowl add the ketchup, mustard, sugar and Worcestershire sauce and mix through. Now add to the softened onions and stir through until the onions are fully coated. Gently fry for 5 minutes. They are now ready to serve with burgers and hot dogs. Enjoy!
